Welcome to Laura Forbes Guitars!
Laura Forbes, from Preston, Lancashire is a professional Classical Guitarist and Pianist offering instrumental lessons to all ages and skill levels.
Laura has over 7 years of teaching experience and more than 12 years of professional performing experience.
Qualifications:
Laura holds a 1st BA (Hons) from Leeds Conservatoire specialising Classical Guitar, allowing Laura to comfortably teach students to grade 8 and beyond.
Laura is a fully qualified music teacher, holding a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) from the Royal College of music. Laura is able to use her formal teacher training to cater to the specific needs of each student.
Laura is DBS checked.
Tuition & Pricing
First and foremost, Laura is a Classical Guitarist with a deep understanding of teaching proper technique. Laura is versatile in her playing styles, and as such caters for students who are interested in acoustic or electric guitar.
Laura prepares and submits students for their music theory exams as well as practical. It is noteworthy that formal music grades contribute UCAS points and can even make the difference when applying for secondary schools or colleges in today’s competitive environment.
Laura prides herself on being a friendly, enthusiastic teacher who has high expectations from all of her pupils. The priority for Laura’s pupils is that they are enjoying their lessons and making continuous progress.
